Day 2 of London Collections Men and I headed down to Jermyn Street. There were foodie stalls such as Henson & Lyderson and a Mayfair classic Fortnum & Masion. Artisans were on hand from many of the local shops to impart their specialist knowledge on the general public.
However the main reason we were all there, the catwalk show. It featured many brands from local and a far such as John Lobb, Budd Shirtmakers and Tiger of Sweden.
So with London Collections Men finally here, I wondered along to the Ambika P3 Gallery in Marylebone. Expecting to spend the day shooting street style, I was surprised when a random gent handed me something and asked me to give it to anyone. A ticket to the Topman SS17 show.
My first time at London Collections Men and I’d scored my first catwalk show…right place, right time!
I took my seat and watched like an excited child. There was a definite seaside feel to the collection with anchors, palm trees and mermaids and a summer vibe with slogans like “Dirty Weekend” and “Margate”. Here are a few of my shots…
I’m not sure how I overlooked these photos of Olivia Palermo at PFW the first time round, but I did.
She’s wearing an Elie Saab jacket, possibly a nod to the designer, as this shot was taken in the Jardin des Tuileries en-route to the Elie Saab Fall show, a pair of leather overalls and an Hermès scarf. The look was finished off with a pair of Westward-Leaning sunglasses.
Photos of Paris Fashion Week 2016 taken outside the Place du Trocadero on a rainy day. Celebs include Caroline de Maigret, Anna Dello Russo, Grace Coddington, Saskia De Brauw, Jeanie Lee and Pernille Teisbaek.
During 2015 I completed a long term goal of making a pair of handmade shoes.
I enrolled on a Carreducker shoe making course and after twenty plus weeks & many blisters, I created the above. Whilst being the most expensive, they are probably the comfiest and definitely the best made pair of shoes I have ever owned.
I have now moved onto my second pair. Whilst being slightly more bespoke, they are going through every one the 200+ steps that go into a hand made pair of shoes, that will last for at least as many months.
